Accessibility testing

What is it?

UX Media offers you the opportunity to find out how accessible your website is to users with visual and mobility impairments.

  • Automated validation test
  • Manual testing against W3C guidelines
  • Browser compatibility tests
  • Testing with disabled users

How long does it take?

A full test including automated and manual checks, browser and one user test will take 1 week from start to finish.

What are the benefits?

It's estimated that around 20% of the population has some level of disability, a huge number of users who may have even more reason to use the internet for shopping, research and entertainment. It makes sense to ensure that your business caters to this sizeable market.

You also have a legal obligation to make sure your website is accessible to disabled users. Although untested in court with regard to websites, section III of the Disability Discrimination Act requires all businesses to take reasonable steps to change a practice which makes it unreasonably difficult for disabled people to make use of its services. Websites are specifically mentioned several times.
